Vocational Education Scholarship

Each year, the KS Board of Regents sponsors a vocational educational scholarship for students all across Kansas. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must attend a KS vocational or technical college and take the vocational test. The test is offered on November 6 and March 5 in either Topeka or Emporia. Students can access the application online at www.kansasregents.org/resources/PDF/640-applicationbrochure2011.pdf. An OCHS student did receive this scholarship last year, so please look into it if you are attending a vocational or technical school.

Washburn University Visit

A representative from Washburn University will be at OCHS on Thursday, September 16 during seminar. Please plan to attend if you are interested in attending Washburn - open to JUNIORS and SENIORS.

ACT Workshop

Emporia State University is hosting an ACT Workshop on October 9. Check in is at 9:15 a.m. and the workshop ends at 11:30 a.m. Registration is $10. To register, call Susan Williams at 620-341-5465.

North Central Kansas Technical College Open House

NCKTC is hosting an Open House on October 31, 2010. The school offers programs in heavy equipment operation, diesel mechanics, agricultural equipment, automotive tech, bricklaying, culinary arts, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air and many others.
